Job description

Are you enthusiastic about new technologies in the cloud environment and do you have a passion for modern network infrastructures? As our Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation and development of our network infrastructure. 


Your responsibilities in a nutshell

  • You will play a key role in keeping our systems stable and automated.
  • You will identify and analyze problems and optimize existing processes and systems.
  • You will set up and manage servers and infrastructure.
  • Dealing with internal and external customers is as well as learning new technologies.

Job requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • You bring a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable professional qualification and 3-5 years of professional experience.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience with network infrastructures. This includes working with routers and switches from well-known network vendors (e.g. Juniper) and the usual network protocols and technologies used in data centres (BGP, OSPF, vxlan, multicast, IPSec).
  • Creating and managing servers and infrastructure is second nature to you, and infrastructure-as-code makes you smile.
  • You are interested in developing, optimising and operating a network independently.
  • You are familiar with the open source community.
  • Very good knowledge of Linux - there is probably a Linux distribution you prefer. Working with other Linux systems is no problem for you.
  • You speak very good English and ideally German.
